From 2008 to 2017 I was a professional downhill skateboarder. I competed domestically and internationally, racing on mountain roads such as Pikes Peak and Maryhill Loops at speeds up to 70mph. In 2011 I won the IGSA World Cup Series in the U18 division. In the open division I placed consistently across quarter and semi finals, with my best finish of 4th place at the 2015 Maryhill Festival of Speed.
Since the beginning I was fascinated by the gear of the sport. Initially learning to operate the tools in my father’s machine shop to modify and tune everything I rode. Soon after, I began developing equipment with sponsors. I had a pro-model board and contributed to numerous products through design, testing, and feedback. I built a vast knowledge base across lamination, composites, machining, urethanes, and vinyl cutting/application.
In addition to racing and development I captured photo and video content for sponsors and my personal brand. Through this content I have taught over 1 million people how to longboard and have had photographs published in magazines.
