When showing a classic car at a competitive concours, awards are given by judges (class winners, best in show, etc) and the spectators (people’s choice). At the most prestigious international shows there can be upwards of 200 cars competing amongst a sea of 15,000 spectators. This volume of participants and attendees makes it challenging to stand out as an exhibitor.

To solve this problem the client wished to have a pamphlet of his car that could be given to spectators and judges alike. He envisioned distributing them in the days leading up the show and during the concours as a way to boost memorability of his car. The pamphlets had to match the vehicle’s presence while quickly communicating its historical significance.

The pamphlets achieved this by using a foil-embossed colored paper sleeve to house a single fold pamphlet. The initial project was for a 1937 Alfa Romeo which won Best in Show the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance with its pamphlet. Another was made for a 1961 Aston Martin that finished second in class at Pebble Beach in 2025. The most recent, a 1961 Ferrari competing at the 2026 Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach.
